We were literally stuck at home for a couple of days due to heavy rain. I've been wanting to do a brinjal dish for ages. Brinjal is not the easiest thing to cook - either they get too soggy or remain under-cooked if the pan isn't hot enough. My first-ever brinjal dish - not too bad! We bought a pack (3-piece) of pearl brinjal from the NTUC supermarket today for S$1.50 and I immediately set to cooking the dish after setting the rice to QUICK mode (20 minutes).

My husband's favourite meal involves some sort of egg-based dish most of the time. There are days he has 2 eggs at a go for a meal (eg. double poached egg and our own deluxe fooyong with assortment of ingredients). Fried brinjal dish and ham-fooyong  Today's very one-bowl meal consists of steamed rice topped with a ham-fooyong and fried brinjal with prawns. Very aromatic and tasty.

Don't ever leave pomelos with me because I am likely to eat all up in an instant.
